Weisiger Group Tops Out New Carolina Cat Facility in Gastonia
Weisiger Group and its Carolina Cat division recently celebrated the “topping out” of a new facility in Gastonia, NC, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued growth and investment.
The new facility, scheduled to open in 2026 during Weisiger Group’s centennial year, will enhance access to equipment, service, and support for customers throughout Gaston County and adjacent areas.

“Seeing this project take shape is a proud moment for our entire team,” said Amanda Cornelson, president of Weisiger Group. “It represents progress and the shared vision that brought it to life as we invest in Gastonia, creating opportunity, and building the next chapter for Carolina Cat.”
“This project embodies what it means to be built to last,” said Mike Tropsha, executive vice president of Carolina Cat. “From the earliest planning stages to today’s topping-out, the project team has delivered with excellence—working safely, on schedule, and with a shared sense of purpose. This facility represents a long-term investment in our customers, our people, and the Gastonia community, and reflects the enduring partnerships that have defined Carolina Cat for nearly a century.” Representatives from construction partners, design teams, and company leaders joined together to sign the final steel beam, which will be installed in the branch.
